All of our hand-dyed wool comes from our own flock of rare breed sheep, that we have been keeping for their beautiful wool since 2016.

Our flock of rare breed sheep consist of Wensleydale, Lincoln Longwool, Shetland and Bownont Merino breeds. Our hand dyed wool packs are made up of a range of these beautiful wools.
Having our own sheep enables us to have a constant supply of the lustre wools l love to use in my work. All of the wools give different textures and effects, so using a mix of wool types makes for a beautiful end result when creating needle felted art.
Here is some more information about our sheep breed and their wool:
Lincoln Longwool – established in the UK since the 13th century. Produces a lustrous fleece with a staple length of 15 – 30 cm long. These gentle giants are the largest of the British breeds.
Wensleydale – established in the UK during the 19th century. Produces a silky and lustrous curly fleece with a staple length of 15 – 30 cm long. With distinctive blue head and ears, these are also gentle giants.
Shetland – established in the UK since the 8th century. Produces a fine, very soft and silky coloured wool with a staple length of 6 – 12 cm long. These come in 11 main colours and 33 different types of markings.
